Kind-hearted Primary 3/4 pupils at Minnigaff Primary School recently organised a shoe box appeal to make Christmas gift boxes for children who live in a developing country in Europe.

Class teacher Miss Fairbairn said: “It is important that we do this once a year so we can help people who are less fortunate than us.

“We collected adult shoe boxes and all donated things for them such as toothbrushes, facecloths, pencils and gifts.

“Primaries three and four in the school worked hard to put the shoeboxes together.

“We hope the children who receive them enjoy their gifts and have a lovely Christmas.”
