Galloway Music Festival 2015 preview

The 101st Galloway Music Festival will take place during the week March 9th-14th.

The festival is to encourage youngsters and adults with musical and artistic talents from primary one upwards in the area from Stranraer to Castle Douglas. Mull of Galloway, Isle of Whithorn to New Galloway, and beyond.

The festival will be held at various venues in the area, including The Cinema, Newton Stewart, Minnigaff Primary School, Penninghame Primary School, Penninghame St John’s Church hall and the Ryan Centre, Stranraer.

Admission is free to all events and programmes will be on sale at all venues and in Cinnamon, Newton Stewart for a small charge of £2.00. The times of all the venues will be published in the programmes and on the Galloway Music Festival website.

On Saturday afternoon, March 14, there will be a winners concert in The Cinema, Newton Stewart when the winners will receive their trophies.

The venue is open for everybody to attend, and it is always a wonderful afternoon. There will be a small charge for entry of £5.00 for adults, Children and all performers are free, and will start at 2.00pm and last approximately two hours.
