My Life as a Courgette, an award-winning animation told through the eyes of a nine-year-old orphan, can be seen at the Catstrand, New Galloway, on July 27.
Produced by Swiss filmmaker Claude Barras, the film charts the journey of Icare, nicknamed Courgette, as he struggles following the death of his mother.
Despite complex themes, My Life As A Courgette will enchant all ages with delightfully original animation: a truly remarkable portrait of the trials of childhood.
