Scottish and World junior champion Gregor Cannon is coming to Stranraer Ice Rink in October and November to teach youngsters in the Galloway Province area how to curl.
Twenty-two-year old student Gregor, who won the world title with Team Mouat in Copenhagen in March, will give up his time on Sunday, October 16 and Sunday, November 13, from 3pm to 5pm.
So, if you are aged between 10 and 21 and have aways fancied trying curling, or have tried it in the past and want another go, or think you would like to join a club but need some coaching fist, here is your opportunity.
The session are being organised by the Galloway Province and are free of charge, all you need to organise is transport to Stranraer Ice Rink, based at the North West Castle Hotel.
The Galloway Province covers the parishes of Kirkmabeck, Minnigaff, Penninghame, Kirkcowan, Wigtown, Kirkinner and Glasserton. All you need is warm, loose fitting clothes and clean, flat, rubber-soled shoes (trainers are ideal) to change into for curling.
