Kirkcudbright Gun Club held its final shoot of the season on Sunday, September 1, with a field of 23 guns.
There was a strong, blustery wind which made conditions difficult for the contestants, but despite that there were several good scores.
Willie Little, club captain, was High Gun, with a score of 144/150, closely followed by Bryan Carson of Gelston on 142.
Willie also won the Dewar Trophy for the winning score for events 1 and 2, after a shoot off with Tommy Galashan of Whauphill, Colin Maxwell of Kirkcudbright and Stuart Nichol of Gatehouse.
Willie also lifted the veterans’ trophy – a very good day for the captain!
