The winner last Saturday in South football was once again the weather with all matches except one becoming the latest victims of the adverse weather conditions.
The only match to be played was at Lockerbie where Mid-Annandale played hosts to Wigtown and Bladnoch with the home side recording a three goals to two victory in a Tweedie Cup First Round tie.
Cammy Thorburn opened the scoring for the home side after only two minutes play when he spotted Wigtown keeper David Cairns off his line and lobbed the ball over his head and into the net from 25 yards out.
Wigtown though kept plugging away and were rewarded in the 34th minutes when Richard Jones scored with a long range shot and four minutes later the same player put his side ahead when he scored from a free kick before being red carded.
Although being reduced to ten men the visitors took their lead into the half time break and held on until the final ten minutes of the game.
In the 80th minute Connor Murray levelled the match with a shot from the edge of the 18 yard box with Levi Carrick finding a winner before the end of the contest.
Mid-Annandale now have an away fixture in the second round pf this particular competition against the winners of the Lochar Thistle versus Fleet Star match that was postponed and will now take place at a later date.
