Leswalt has the reputation for producing champion curlers – with former pupils Vicky Wright, Ewan Kyle and Bobby Lammie participating in World Curling Championships this year.

On the last day of term Leswalt Primary played in the Wigtownshire Primary schools curling Bonspiel, winning all their games and overall winners of the competition.

Ethan Smith, Alistair Brown , Megan McIntyre and Kayleigh Williams returned back to school jubilant with their success, which was made extra special to Mrs Baillie, the Headteacher, as the shield they won was donated in memory of her later grandfather, George Littlejohn.
