There is a full fixture list of South of Scotland League matches scheduled to be played on Saturday 2nd August.

Creetown entertain Abbey Vale at Castle Cary Park for what looks like a match that could go either way. Having both lost their first run out of the season last Saturday both will be keen to make amends and a share of the points is a distinct possibility.

Dumfries YMCA play their third home match of the season and would look to be up against the odds when they play hosts to Wigtown and Bladnoch.

The match at Galabank between Edusport Academy and St Cuthbert Wanderers looks like it could be one to savour. Last seasons runners-up have strengthened their ranks and could more than a match for the newcomers from Hamilton but Edu are still a bit of an unknown and are expected to be much stronger once the summer holidays are over.

Lochar Thistle entertain Mid-Annandale for what is expected to be a close contest although the home side will start as favourites to take the three points from this match.

Newton Stewart have Crichton as visitors to Blairmount Park for another match that could go close. Both sides have new faces in their ranks and much will depend on what team is settling into a good run of form first.

Nithsdale Wanderers entertain Upper Annandale at Lorimer Park for a match the visitors could well start as favourites to take the three points. Nithsdale however will be keen to show their worth and with home advantage are expected to give their visitors a tough challenge.

Wednesday evening sees Abbey Vale playing hosts to Upper Annandale for a match that could go close while Crichton and Lochar Thistle lock horns in a Dumfries derby match. Dumfries YMCA entertain Nithsdale Wanderers while Fleet Star and Mid-Annandale meet at Garries Park. The Heston Rovers versus Edusport Academy could be a close match as could be the one at Blairmount where Newton Stewart have St Cuthbert Wanderers as their visitors. Wigtown and Bladnoch entertain Creetown at Trammondford Park.
