There is a full programme of South of Scotland League matches scheduled for this Saturday with the match at st Marys Park, Kirkcudbright looking like the pick of the bunch when St Cuthbert Wanderers play hosts to present champions, Wigtown and Bladnoch. Both these teams are more than capable of taking the three points from this match but could well end up in both sharing them in a fairly high scoring draw. League leaders Edusport Academy entertain Newton Stewart at Galabank, Annan for the match the home side will be favourites to take the points from but the Creesiders are beginning to find the net easier and will not go down without a fight. Creetown have Dumfries YMCA as their visitors to Castle Cary Park for a contest that the home side will be expected to win but YMCA have already produced a shock result this season so far and cannot be under-estimated. Creetown on the other hand have a young team who are producing goals and the Dumfries side could well have to wait a while longer to put any more points onto their league record. Crichton play Abbey Vale in a local derby at Hospital Park for a match that looks evenly matched as does the contest which will take place at Lockerbie where Mid-Annandale meet Heston Rovers. Both these matches look too close to call although both home teams may just hold a slight advantage. The match at Maxwelltown High School between Lochar Thistle and Fleet Star looks like it could be another close match although Star may just have the ammunition in their locker to see off a Lochar side who so far this season have not shown the consistency of previous seasons. Nithsdale Wanderers have Upper Annandale as their visitors to Sanquhar and once again the match looks like it could be evenly contested with the spoils being shared in a score draw.
