The “Borders” Hill Rally is currently the biggest and best cross-country hill rally racing event in the UK – and it’s set to roar into action at St John’s Town of Dalry this month.
The rally takes place at the Forrest Estate November 16 and 17.
Attracting many of the UK’s top teams, it tests the stamina and endurance of both crews and cars. This is a drivers’ race in which winning – or losing – is down to their decisions, the skills of the navigator and the reliability of the car over gruelling laps on the hill rally circuit.
With entries flowing in from all over the UK, it’s looking like the place to be for fast cross-country thrills this month.
SHRC chairman Ian Stuart said: “This event appeals to both the seasoned campaigner and the novice driver. Short, simple road sections make the navigator’s job easier, while the long straights let them pump up the volume to go as fast as they dare – and we even have a trophy specifically for the highest placed novice crew.
“There are more than 100 miles of fast flowing stages for drivers to thrill to, with the added spice of special off-road sections, and spectators will enjoy the live action weekend at Forrest Lodge Estate.”
