Sorbie Green President, Michael McGuinness, said: “We had a good turnout, and the tournament was played in the usual friendly and good natured spirit. The afternoon started with bright sunshine, but unfortunately rain stopped play just prior to the start of the semi-finals. I’d like to thank all the Sorbie Green members who helped to make the tournament a success. Thanks also to the members of other local bowling clubs for supporting the event. May I give a special mention to Ian Broll Funeral Directors, Emc2 (Euan McConnell Ltd) and Sandy Milven for sponsoring the event, and for their continued support of Sorbie Bowling Club.”
