The duo, part of skip Bruce Mouat's team, made it all the way through to the final Calgary, before only just losing out to defending champions Sweden.

However, with the event also doubling as qualification for the Olympics, Team Mouat did enough to secure a place for Team GB at Beijing 2022

Nine wins and only four losses from their round-robin matches was enough to finish in the top six, taking the team into the medal play-offs and booking that Olympic spot.

A 5-3 win over hosts Canada sent the Scots into the semi-final where they beat Russia by the same score to line up a final decider against Niklas Edin's Sweden, winners of the previous two titles.

Sweden took an early lead but Team Mouat hit back to lead 2-1. Two points in the third end put the defending champions 3-2 up, but again Team Mouat came back to level.

Sweden edged in front twice more, but each the the Scots came back to tie the score.

But in the ninth end Mouat's final stone came up short, offering the Swedes the chance of a double take out which they duly made of the most of, taking five points for a 10-5 win.

But despite that final disappointment it was a terrific show and a tournament to remember for Lammie, McMillan and the team.
