It was held at Islecroft Stadium, Dalbeattie, and featured players from many famous clubs while the Stewartry side was made up of players from Creebridge House Hotel and Ferrytoon in the west to Cum Ye Inn and Crown in the east.

The Dukla team had many names of yesteryear in Scottish Football including Davie Irons from Dumfries, who is now manager of Stenhousemuir, former Queen of the South manager Kenny Brannigan and their guest keeper was none other than Eddie McGaw, the Ferrytoon Stewartry Sunday League keeper.
