KEEN Newton Stewart runner Norma Gillan, recently completed the London Marathon, raising £1300 for the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland.
Forty-five-year old Norma, who took up running two years ago, completed the 26.2 miles in a time of four hours, 45 minutes and 59 seconds.
Norma told The Galloway Gazette: “I was absolutely knackered at the end but I also had a great sense of achievement. It was quite an experience. The crowds were terrific and their support definitely helps to carry you round.”
