Two goals each side of the interval on Wednesday nigyht was enough to give Newton Stewart a hard earned victory over Threave Rovers at Blairmount Park.
Johnny Fisher scored two goals in the first half to give the Creesiders a comfortable lead and within two minutes of the restart Robert Middleton had added two more.
Threave though fought back and goals from Ben Irving, Dale Milligan and Steven Couper brought the visitors back into the game.
