“Jogscotland was the concept of the Scottish Health Service working in partnership with Scottish athletics. Started in 2002, as a serious attempt to improve the health and well-being of our nation. Today there are close on one hundred jogscotland groups throughout the towns and cities of Scotland and thousands of happy joggers who have progressed to run all sorts of distance’s and made running an integral part of their life’s.

“Jogscotland Newton Stewart is your chance to change your life, the more you think you can’t do this the more your jogleader wants you to be a part of this great initiative.

“So why not give it a go? You have nothing to lose and lot’s to gain, your Jogscotland course runs for 10 weeks and starts on Wednesday, May 4 at 7pm from the Merrick Centre in Newton Stewart.”

Membership for Jogscotland and the instruction is free. There will be a small charge for the use of the gym and changing facilities at the Merrick Centre.
