STRANRAER BMX prodigy Kriss Kyle will be in his home town this weekend to judge the Freestyle Fever biking, skating and scooter competition, having recently returned from a top competition in Miami.

Kriss was one of the world’s top 16 freestyle riders invited to the States for the Mick Spinners competition to show off their skills.

With a prize fund topping $4000, competition was tough but Kriss managed to come in sixth, and took a share of the cash.

And this Sunday he will see others who could follow in his footsteps at the event being held at the Stranraer Ramps from 1pm where he will give a demo and hand out prizes, having opened a new skate park in Stilring and given a demo at ABC nightclub in Dumfries the day before.

At the begining of next month, Kriss will fly to Spain to take part in a Nike BMX competition before joining in the Red Bull ‘secret location, invite-only’ contest - all he knows it that he will fly to Paris in November before joining his brother in Australia for Christmas.
