Once again the Gatehouse Horse and Pony Fun Show took place at Barstobrick Equestrian, Ringford. The skies were grey but, as the day wore on a brilliant sunny day emerged, rather breezy but which kept us all cool. The show ran smoothly and proved to be a great success.

The Supreme Championship Trophy was won by Harry Greenwood. During this competition the three champions were judged on style and performance by all judges.

The above classes were followed by the fun classes As usual they were very well subscribed. The fancy dress class was difficult to judge due to great imagination and creativity shown in the selection of costumes. The winner of this Class was seven-year-old Libby Kay riding ‘Lacy Oliver’.

The organisers would like to express their gratitude to all the judges, and all helpers who gave their time freely and without whose help the event would not have taken place. Also to “Events First Aid and Rescue Service for providing the First Aid Post; to Rosie Chilton for taking the photographs, to all the restaurant staff for the lovely food and great service and finally and most importantly we would like to thank Mr Robin Austin of Barstobrick Equestrian who enabled us to make use of all the excellent facilities provided at the centre which contributed to the show’s success.
