Defender McIntyre and mifielder Hilton, both aged 22, are among a number of last season’s squad re-engaged by boss Stevie Farrell as he plots a quick return to League One.
And both say playing for their hometown club was a major factor for them.
McIntyre, who broke into the first-team squad just after Christmas, told the club website: “It means a lot to me to play for Stranraer.
“Obviously, it probably means more to me than most, especially having played for Stranraer all my days from youth levels all the way through.
“I made four appearances last year, which was good and just leaves you wanting some more.”
Hilton - last season’s top scorer - admitted he had options to move on but decided to stay put at Stair Park.
He said: “It was a difficult choice.
“To be fair, I had a couple of other options but I think the manager and being a Stranraer lad edged it towards Stranraer.
“I am absolutely buzzing to get going and to have a better season than last year.”
In contrast to the local lads, experienced keeper Greg Fleming much-travelled striker Daryl Duffy among Farrell’s latest additions.
Fleming was an impressive performer for Peterhead last season and has also had spells at Gretna, Dunfermline and Ayr United.
Duffy began his career with Rangers and has since played for a host of clubs in Scotland, England and India.
He joins ex-Kilmarnock keeper Jamie Walker, former Annan defender Ayrton Sonkur, Airdrie midfielder Kieran Millar and strikers Thomas Orr (BSC Glasgow) and Ruari Paton (East Kilbride).
