James Hilton leaves Stranraer to join Edinburgh City
Midfielder James Hilton has left Stranraer to join League 2 rivals Edinburgh City.
The 23-year-old, who was out of contract, joined his hometown club in 2019 after leaving Ayr United and became a firm fans’ favourite.
He scored 10 goals in his 55 appearances, most notably the winner from the penalty spot in the Blues’ Scottish Cup win over Dunfermline in 2019.
A club statement said; “Jinky has been a great servant in his two seasons at Stranraer and we wish him the very best.”
