Festive fun for pony club

Galloway Branch of The Pony Club held a Festive Fun Afternoon on Sunday 6th December.

Terally Equestrian Centre saw elves, snowmen, Santas and parcels all riding ponies festooned with tinsel and baubles.

Thankfully Storm Desmond had passed through and 16 members turned up for an afternoon of games.

Fancy dress winners were: Tammy Campbell and Blue, Cara Sloan and Honey Bee, and Eilidh Fisher & Mae, judged by Kara Torrance. DC, Wendy Miller-Smith and instructor, Arlene McNabney directed the games and kept everyone right. The Musical Horses game was won by Kirsty Fisher and Ella Wallace both jumping on and off Leo.

Other games included dressing up in Santa suits, mugs of water, ribbons and stealing woolley hats. Lucy Gaw won the Junior Chase-Me-Charlie on Sam getting to 1.05m and Rachel Ramsay won the Senior round on Lexy clearing a fantastic 1.2m.

At the end of the afternoon Mollie Miller-Smith’s team of Susannah Service, Zoe Wilson and Georgie Barr won the points for the afternoon with everyone getting a prize for effort and enthusiasm.

A very welcome buffet was enjoyed by everyone before travelling home feeling very festive. Merry Christmas to all our members, ponies, parents, and helpers, wishing you all the very best for 2016.
