Scotland’s women curlers have gone up a gear at the European Curling championships in Denmark.
This morning they beat Germany 8-6 to take them to four wins and two losses.
This result puts the team , which included Vicki Adams form Stranraer, in joint third place alongside Finland, behind unbeaten leaders Denmark and second-placed Russia.
The Scottish women face Estonia this evening.
Yesterday afternoon, Vicki was the Scottish star player against Hungary helping her team secure a confidence building 9-3 win.
After the game, Vicki’s skip Eve Muirhead said: “We’re definitely back on track. We need to get away from this inconsistency of good games then bad games. But we’ve had a lot more good games and we’re sitting on three and two so we’re right in the mix. I’m pleased with that.”
“First things first, you’re in it to qualify Scotland for the worlds and then you’re looking at the play-offs. You’ve got to take every game as it comes, but Sarah’s playing great, Vicki had a fantastic game – she hardly missed a shot, Anna’s playing well, so when everyone plays well in front of me, it makes my job kind of easy.”
