Last Saturday Edusport Academy reached the final of the Tweedie Cup when they played Crichton at Galabank and cantered home by six goals to nil against the Dumfries side.
There were also four South of Scotland League matches being played on the same day with the on-form Mid-Annandale beating Creetown by three goals to one at Castle Cary Park.
Calum Smith struck first for the visitors to give them a slender half time lead and four minutes after the re-start Luke Hammond doubled the scoreline.
With eleven minutes left to play Connor Murray ensured victory for Mids with a third with Matthew Deazley finding the net for the home side.
Dumfries YMCA played hosts to neighbours Lochar Thistle and although Gregor Patterson and Kris Lismanus gave the home side a surprise start Lochar fought back to lead at the break with a goal from Mark Neil and a double from Martin McGauchie.
A second half hat-trick from Lee Martin and singles from Ryan Service and Ross Woodward completed the visitors rout to leave YMCA at the foot of the table.
Meanwhile League Champions St Cuthbert Wanderers travelled to Moffat to play Upper-Annandale and also found themselves two goals down before a Roman Soltys double and strikes from Hugh Cameron and Jamie Struthers ensured that Saints impressive record of winning all their away league games was maintained.
With the league programme now completed the Kirkcudbright side have dropped only five points taking 73 points from a possible 78 points losing only one match and drawing another which by any standards is an impressive record.
In their final league match of the season Nithsdale Wanderers and Wigtown and BLadnoch shared six goals at Sanquhar in a three all draw.
