There are two South of Scotland League matches due to be played this Saturday with league leaders Wigtown and Bladnoch playing hosts to local rivals Newton Stewart.
This is the second meeting of these two clubs so early in the season with Wigtown having won the first encounter at Blairmount Park.
With home advantage the Trammondford will start this contest as favourites to again take the thee points but in local derbies anything can happen and a very young Newton team full of local youngsters are more than capable of upsetting the odds.
The Second Round of the SCFA Alternaive Cup also takes place on the same day with some very interesting fixtures. The match at Castle Cary Park between Creetown and Heston Rovers looks to close to call.
Nithsdale Wanderers have Dumfries YMCA as their visitors to Sanquhar.
On Tuesday night Lochmaben entertain Abbey Vale in Lockerbie for a league match while on Wednesday evening there are another six league matches scheduled to be played all with 7.30pm kick-offs except the match at Palmerston Park that starts at 7.45pm. Edusport Academy play Upper Annandale at Galabank with Heston Rovers playing hosts to Wigtown and Bladnoch . Mid-Annandale entertain Nithsdale Wanderers at Lockerbie and Newton Stewart play Dumfries YMCA at Blairmount Park. St Cuthbert Wanderers have Cretown as their visiors to St Marys Pafrk while Threave Rovers play Lochar Thistle at Meadow Park, Castle Douglas.
