The 36 hole strokeplay JAL Brown trophy was competed for over the Portpatrick Dunskey course last Sunday.
More than forty players enjoyed excellent scoring conditions with the course presented in great condition and the weather being kind. David Brodie from Wigtown & Bladnoch Golf Club raced to a six shot victory after two flawless rounds of 65 for a 10 under par total. Home players Stuart Fisher and Rory Brunton tied for second place on four under par alongside Rory Thomson from Dalbeattie Golf Club.
The handicap prize was won by Gordon Cameron of Lanark Golf Club.
