A NEWTON Stewart woman has denied assaulting people, shouting and swearing, and issuing threats of violence at various places in the town.
Larraine Moore, 33, of Hillview Terrace, pleaded not guilty through her lawyer at Stranraer Sheriff Court this week to the charges relating to the evening of June 1 this year.
She is accused of seizing Duncan McHarg by the throat and pushing him against a wall at Dashwood Square before shouting and swearing at police officers on Victoria Street.
She further denies behaving in a threatening manner at the Galloway Arms and attempting to push her way through the door there, while continuing to shout and swear. She will stand trial on January 13.
