Intrepid P5 pupils took part in a murder mystery at Kirkcudbright Primary School last week after they discovered their classroom had been cordoned off with police tape when a body was found inside.
They identified four main suspects, all members of the school staff, and conducted a number of science investigations and observations to help them identify the culprit. They also interviewed each suspect as part of their investigations.
Children correctly identified Mrs Baty as the murderer and she was detained for further questioning. Teacher Mr Whan said: “The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and participated fully in the forensic investigations.”
All has now returned to normal at Kirkcudbright Primary.
