The ‘Vote remain’ team will give their reasons why Britain should remain as a member of the EU at a special public meeting in the North West Castle Hotel, Stranraer, on Thursday 9th June from 7-9pm.
The meeting, organised by The European Movement Scotland, will be chaired by former Scottish Conservative MEP Struan Stevenson. He will be joined on a panel of expert speakers by John Edward, Senior Spokesperson of Scotland Stronger in Europe and former Scottish Labour MEP Hugh McMahon.
Speaking ahead of the event, Struan Stevenson said: “This is an important opportunity for people to come and hear the facts about the EU and explore the many issues that have dominated the media in recent weeks. The EU referendum is of key importance to our trade, environment, jobs, prosperity and security. It is of particular importance to the food and drink sector and to farmers, whose livelihood often depends on our membership.”
