Carsluith Village Hall is gearing up for its main fundraising event of the year, the annual Carsluith ceilidh, on Saturday, November 9.

Music will be provided by accordionist Jamie Young, who will be joined by home-grown talent in the form of Wyllie McCulloch as master of ceremonies and David Hannay on the small pipes for what promises to be a great evening of Scottish music and dance.

Tickets can be purchased in advance from Wyllie McCulloch (01671 820630) or Bill Mitchell (01671 820223) at a cost of only £7 (£3.50 for children), which includes a homemade buffet supper.

The event is organised by the village hall’s management committee. All funds raised go towards the running of the village hall, which is home to a range of clubs offering activities as diverse as carpet bowling, table tennis, drama, yoga and piping.
