Two men were taken to hospital in Dumfries after a crash involving a van and a car near to Glenturk Farm recently.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “The accident happened around 9.12am on the A714 near Wigtown. “Two fire appliances from Newton Stewart and Gatehouse attended and one supervisory officer. A variety of hydraulic equipment was used to extricate one of the casualties.”
One of the vehicles was a Ford Focus being driven by a 36-year old man from Newton Stewart who was uninjured. The second vehicle was a Vauxhall Combo post van being driven by 55-year old man from Newton Stewart. He received a broken femur. Both vehicles were damaged.
