Two jailed for drug dealing
TWO men were jailed by Sheriff Kenneth Robb in Stranraer this week after admitting involvement in supplying drugs.
Jamie Keenan, 21, a prisoner at Polmont, and 19-year-old Ethan Mitchell, from Bradford, admitted supplying cannabis at various addresses in the town between April 1 and 11 last year.
Keenan also admitted assaulting Liam Allison at the Glebe Cemetery and Mitchell pled guilty to assaulting David Kyle in Old Port Avenue.
The court heard the two men were part of a bigger operation that involved a substantial amount of money. The case had been long and complicated with Keenan’s solicitor having to listen to 18 tapes of evidence.
Sentencing Keenan to a total prison sentence of 16 months and 55 days, Sheriff Robb said this had been a commercial drugs operation Keenan had a major part in. Mitchell was sentenced of 12 months and 90 days.
