Two horses were killed in a road traffic crash on Wednesday on the A716 outside Stoneykirk.
The horses are thought to have escaped from a nearby field. the driver of the Vauxhall Vectra did not suffer major injury vut police were forced to close the road and put diversions in place for a short period.
The incident happened at around 7.30am.
