A section of London Road, just east of Ladies Walk, will be closed from Monday to Friday (May 3-7).

This will enable Scottish Water to carry out repair work on a damaged section of the sewer network.

During this time a diversion will be in place via the A751 and A77 and road users are asked to follow all signs put in place.

Scottish Water has liaised with Dumfries and Galloway Council which has agreed to the closure.

Local residents and road users are being thanked in advance for their patience and understanding while Scottish Water carries out this essential work to keep the town’s sewers operating as they should.
