Top junior curler in crash

THE ups and downs of life were brought home to Newton Stewart curler Jodie Milroy after she escaped unscathed from a car crash last week.

Jodie, 17, who was on cloud nine after winning a siver medal at last month’s Scottish Women’s Curling Championships in Perth, crashed her car on her way home from the ice rink in Stranraer last Wednesday night. She was on her own in the vehicle and no one else was involved. Jodie was not hurt.

This weekend she will be representing Douglas Ewart High in the Scottish Schools’ Curling Championships at Murrayfield Ice Rink in Edinburgh.
