Three appear in private to face drug and firearm charges

Three people appeared on petition at Stranraer Sheriff Court on Monday after being arrested over the weekend.

Sheena Bodle, 31, from Newton Stewart faced charges under the Misuse of Drugs Act. She made no plea or declarationand was remanded in custody.

Shaun Ritchie, 20, also of Newton Stewart faced charges under both the Misuse of Drugs Act and the Firearms Act. He also made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.

And also to appear was Joseph Lewis, 24, of no fixed abode, who was charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act. He made no ple or declaration and was released on bail.

* A Stranraer man has been banned from driving for four years after being caught two-and-a-half times over the limit. Michael Scott, 44, of 5E Dunbar Court was caught on 15 September after being at a funeral where he consumed the alcohol. He was also fined £550 and had his car forfeited.
