The Twelve Days of Christmas Port William style was performed at the weekend over three sell out shows.
The story featured the lively Machars family and their daughter Linda, brilliantly played by Kirsty McMaster in the lead role.
The story unfolds that Linda’s boyfriend Bob is in Barbados over Christmas but he will send Percy the Postman, superbly played by Iain McFadzean, to deliver a gift each of the twelve days of Christmas.
The gifts include The Man statue from the Harbour Green, loved up birds, French chicks, fishing boats, Christmas trees, the lifeboat crew, a message in a bottle, snowmen, penguins, musical hats and farmers on tractors!
The local children excelled themselves as they proudly took on several roles each and wore costumes designed and made by wardrobe mistress Ann Ballantyne which would have been worthy of a West End production.
Under the precise direction of Helen Oxley, and with excellent sound and lighting provided by Kenny Barr, the pantomime was another brilliant community success. The Pantomime Company has recently received a grant from Carscreugh Renwable Energy Park Limited Community Fund ensuring that the future shows will go on!
