THREE teenagers accused of misbehaving in Newton Stewart in June will return to court next month after denying the charges.
Andrew Blain, 19, of Bailliewhir Cottage, Whithorn, and Jason Welsh, 18, of 7 Moat Brae, Mochrum, appeared in the dock of Stranraer Sheriff Court this week to plead not guilty to, while acting with another, assaulting Brian Rennie in Jubilee Road, Newton Stewart. Blain is also charged with resisting arrest in Goods Lane, Newton Stewart, and Welsh is charged with behaving in a threatening manner when removing his upper clothes, shouting and swearing and then resisting arrest in Goods Lane.
The third accused, 19-year-old Sean Siddle, from 7 St John’s Place, Sorbie, denies obstructing police officers in Goods Lane who were trying to handcuff Blain.
The case will be called again on October 10.
