Persistent investigatory work by local officers has resulted in some clear-ups to recent crime spates in Dumfries.
Three men aged 24, 21 and 19 will be reported to the procurator fiscal in relation to four car fires in Dumfries between October 2012 and this month.
Two other men, aged 24 and 25, will be reported in connection with a theft from a local car breakers in the Dumfries area last week.
And a 23-year-old man is to be reported to the procurator fiscal in relation to a recent spate of diesel thefts in the Dumfries area.
Inspector Stuart Wilson from Loreburn Street Police Station said: “These arrests show our officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding all crimes reported to us. The support we receive from our local communities allows us to ensure that crimes such as these are fully investigated and the perpetrators brought to justice.
