Stranraer Lifeboat called to aid of cruiser

Stranraer Lifeboat crews were called to the aid of a 10-metre cabin cruiser in difficulty on Saturday night.

The call from Belfast Coatsguard to help the stricken boat went out at 6.41pm and crews attended by 6.50pm at the scene half a mile south of Lady Bay in Lochryan.

A tow was attached and the lifeboat headed for Stranraer marina. The cabin cruiser was safely alongside the pontoons by 10pm with four persons onboard all safe.
