As part of their 2012-2013 UK Tour, The 38th African Children’s Choir will be performing in Penninghame St John’s Church, Newton Stewart, on Sunday 4th November at 7pm.

The African Children’s Choir melt the hearts of audiences with their charming smiles, beautiful voices and lively African songs and dances. The programme features well-loved children’s songs, traditional spirituals and rhythmic gospel favourites.

Proceeds from performances allow the choir to raise global awareness of the plight of the millions of orphaned and abandoned children in Africa. Donations directly support the expansion of sponsorship and education programmes.

Music for Life, the parent body of the choir, works in seven African countries and has educated over 52,000 children and impacted the lives of over 100,000 people through its relief and development programmes during its 27-year history. Tickets, priced £2, for the concert in Penninghame St John’s Church on Sunday 4th November are available from Michael Dunlop, “Glengar”, Ivy Place, Newton Stewart, DG8 6HQ, telephone: 01671 402637, and are also available through other congregations.
