Six men and a woman have appeared in court at Dumfries on charges involving the supplying of cannabis and cannabis resin in Bargrennan, Barrhill, on the A75 road near Annan and elsewhere in England.
Jacqueline Bennewith, 40, of Mayberry Cottage, Barrhill; Scott Griffin, 40, of Marine Gardens, Stranraer; Geoffrey Marsden, 52, and Philip Walker, 50, both said to be prisoners at Dumfries; and Paul Jones, 33, of Glenjorrie Avenue, Glenluce, all pleaded not guilty to the two charges, while the cases against Anthony Fox, 30, of Kendal, and Andrew Hedley, 40, of Millcroft Road, Newton Stewart, were continued without plea.
It was alleged that the offences took place between July 2010 and July 8 this year at a cottage at Palgowan Farm, Bargrennan; Mayberry Cottage; the A75; Morecambe; Carnforth; Kendal; and Arisaig.
Jones also denied having possession of cannabis at Meadow Park, Kirkcowan, in April, while Griffin denied having cannabis on the A75 near Uppermains, Annan, in July.
The case was continued for a week.
