Scottish celebrities set sail to become Sport Relief’s First Nation Home

TEN intrepid Scottish celebrities will today (Friday) compete in a gruelling sailing race, crossing the Irish Sea from Larne to Stranraer as part of the First Nation Home for Sport Relief challenge.

The team, captained by BBC Presenter and Former Deacon Blue Drummer Dougie Vipond and consisting of Weathergirl Cat Cubie and current Miss Scotland Jennifer Reoch amongst others, have been running, rowing and cycling their way across the UK and Ireland for the past week

Having set off from Edinburgh on Saturday 10th March, Team Scotland have been travelling clockwise around the British Isles, competing against rival teams of celebrities from England, Ireland and Wales to return to the capital before the competition reach their’s.

In the penultimate leg of the demanding challenge, the team will take to the waves on a specially equipped ocean-going racing yacht, giving their all to race an experience and highly skilled crew on an identical pace yacht.
