As part of the Ryan Centre Theatre and Cinema’s busy autumn programme, film times will be changed to incorporate Saturday matinees.
As at present, films will be shown on a regular fortnightly basis but instead of asking parents to bring their children to films at 6pm on a school night, the alternative will be to come and see a film at 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. Films will also be shown on Friday evenings at the usual times.
Now that there is a definite hint of autumn in the air, a trip to the cinema in the afternoon will be a much more attractive and practical alternative for some parents rather than a visit on a week night which ends in a later than usual bedtime.
Children’s films will now be shown at 6pm on Friday evenings and then repeated at 2pm on Saturday afternoons.
October to December children’s films are a mix of 2D and 3D and include Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, Justin and the Knights of Valour, Turbo, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, and this year’s Christmas blockbuster Frozen.
