Scotland TranServ will return to the A75 at New Ramhill Bridge three miles east of Castle Douglas on Monday 9 May 2016 to complete bridge repairs.
The work will see improvements to the quality of the road surface, waterproofing of the bridge deck and joint replacements.
Due to the nature of the works and to protect the health and safety of our workforce and road users a full closure will be in place for five consecutive evenings between 8pm and 6am.
A local diversion will be in place; Westbound; Closure of A75 at Haugh of Urr Road End (B794), leave taking left onto B794 – continue through Haugh of Urr to Dalbeattie – at A711 turn right – continue to Craignair Bridge – after negotiating Automatic Traffic Lights for the bridge – turn right onto A745 - continue to Castle Douglas – at Station Hotel Roundabout – take right continuing on A745 to Allanton Roundabout to rejoin A75. Eastbound; Closure of A75 at Allanton Roundabout (A745) - following westbound diversion, in reverse order. Warning signs will be in place.
