Patrons of Newton Stewart Music Club concerts can look forward to a lively “Fiddle-Fest” at Wigtown County Buildings on Saturday 14th February with a performance by the lauded folk quartet RANT.
RANT brings together four of Scotland’s finest fiddle players, two Shetlanders and two Highlanders. Their debut album in 2013 gained the Herald Angel Award.
They have been described as “effortlessly blending the foundations of tradition with the wild and free arrangements of the present day..”
On the day of the concert RANT will host a Fiddle Workshop at the County Building which is open to players of intermediate standard, youthful or adult.
