Police seek man in connection with Kirkoswald fuel theft

Police are appealing for information in connection with the theft of fuel from a farm near Kirkoswald.

A white male, about five foot ten inches in height, was seen acting suspiciously at Hallowsheen farm at around 2.30pm on June 23.

He is described as overweight with red/ginger hair, smartly dressed in a white shirt and black trousers, speaking with an English accent.

Police say he was driving a white transit van and approached a farm worker regarding ‘shooting permission’, but then began to act suspiciously. It was later noticed that a quantity of fuel had been stolen.

Police are appealing for information regarding the white van or if anyone knows who this man is.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Campbell at Girvan Police Station through the police non-emergency number 101.
