Preparations for the commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the Lockerbie air disaster are underway and a group, comprising of local clergy, community representatives and Dumfries and Galloway Council officers, has been set up to co-ordinate events.
A commemorative wreath-laying will take place at 2pm on Saturday, December 21 at the Dryfesdale Cemetery with a short service and readings by the Lord Lieutenant of Dumfries and a US Government Official. An evening service will also take place in Dryfesdale Church at 6.30pm led by Syracuse Scholars and the theme will be ‘Looking Forward’. All are welcome to attend.
