A NEW group on the Galloway music scene has emerged in the past year and is gathering quite a following.
Bassheads, a DJ and sound-system collective, are from the Whithorn area and have been running their own gigs to such acclaim, they’ve managed to add a list of dates to their diaries.
Daniel Cooksley, Calum Vance and John Whittaker used their talent recently to raise £600 towards two charities - Children’s Hospice Association Scotland and the NHS Alexandra Unit through a gig at Newton Stewart’s Central Bar.
Bassheads played recently at Dumfries festival Comlongon Rocks, and were lined up to play Kirkcudbright’s Totoka Daze, a festival which has sadly now been cancelled.
Look out in our What’s On guide for upcoming gigs.
