At 4pm on Tuesday, March 29, DG Customer Services, Port William will move to its new premises within the supper room, Maxwell Hall.
A spokesperson for Dumfries and Galloway Council said: “The fully refurbished facility is now fit for purpose and within the heart of the community.”
Services available from new facility are as follows: Library services book lending, local history and genealogy services and free access to computers and the internet.
Customer services benefit and council tax enquiries, council information and reporting of faults.
Registration services registration of births, deaths and marriages and conducting of civil marriages, civil partnership and citizenship ceremonies.
The opening hours at the new Port William integrated facility are as follows: Monday -10.00 - 13.00
Tuesday -16.00 -19.00
Friday -14.00 - 17.00
Chair of Community and Customer Services Committee, Councillor Tom McAughtrie, said, “We have created a facility within the Maxwell hall, 77 Main Street which is fit for purpose and will give you access to a wide range of information and services under one roof. These services will continue to be delivered by helpful, knowledgeable staff to assist with your enquiries.”
