Newton Stewart’s new pharmacy at Creebridge should be open for business by the middle of next month.
Keith McElrea, from Whithorn Pharmacy, one of the partners in the new venture told The Galloway Gazette: “The shop fitters have arrived and we’ve got our new pharmacist recruited as well as one dispenser. We’re currently interviewing for the remaining staff members and hope to be open mid August.”
Mid Galloway councillor Graham Nicol said: “This is good news for the people of Newton Stewart. I am pleased the plans have gone ahead. I had previously received lots of comments about the need for such a facility. It’s good to hear that it will be up and running in the next six to seven weeks.”
